Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the terms and supplies its own results. Hopkins County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we may keep the message long enough to review and answer it. We do not voluntarily disclose the message outside our organization, although we may do so when a valid legal duty requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers may receive routine technical and usage details when a page loads:
- Your device’s IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and approximate visit duration
- The referring website, when supplied
- Date and time information for page requests
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that support traffic measurement and site functions. Analytics services may combine visit information to show which pages are used and where performance can improve. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, although blocking them may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information may be used for these operating purposes:
- Delivering pages and maintaining site availability
- Passing an initiated query to the selected search provider
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Finding errors, abuse, and performance problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect inferred interests
No Court-Record Data on File
We do not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of Hopkins County court dockets or personal case records. The content identifies public routes to the District Clerk, courts, calendars, and Texas re:SearchTX. Official records stay with their custodians. Texas courts are not treated as ordinary agencies under the Texas Public Information Act: Government Code section 552.0035 directs judiciary access to Supreme Court rules or other law, and Texas Supreme Court Rule 12 addresses judicial records other than case records. We do not turn visitor information into consumer reports and are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search boxes used on some content pages. Their privacy notices, retention rules, security controls, and disclosure practices govern information submitted to them. Review the provider’s policy before entering a query because we do not control its handling of that information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Hopkins County offices, Texas court portals, legal resources, or commercial search services. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination’s privacy policy governs the visit. Read that policy before sharing personal information.
Advertising providers may also use their own technology to measure activity across services and personalize ads. That processing takes place under their systems and policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be available to:
- Search providers processing a query you submit
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks serving content on the site
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under valid legal authority
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect collected information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on your residence and whether a law applies, privacy rights may arise under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541, or other law. Those rights may include:
- Requesting access to personal information held about you
- Seeking correction of inaccurate information
- Requesting deletion where the law provides it
- Opting out of covered forms of data processing
